New NetClarity application built exclusively for millions of Spiceworks users.

Bedford, MA and Austin, TX -- December 11, 2013 -- NetClarity and Spiceworks today announced a new technology integration that will bring NetClarity's agentless network access control technology to millions of IT professionals using Spiceworks. NetClarity's Network Access Control for Spiceworks (SNAC) will enable Spiceworks users to block unwanted devices from accessing their networks, either on-demand or automatically, providing a layer of security IT professionals need to protect sensitive information. The integration represents the first time an application has been developed exclusively for the Spiceworks platform.

“We are extremely excited about this integration with Spiceworks,” said Hal Charnley, President and CEO of NetClarity. “This integration allows the vast Spiceworks user base access to our agentless blocking technology, allowing administrators to easily keep untrusted and unknown devices off of their networks. This is a natural extension of the robust functionality already contained within Spiceworks and brings critical network security functions to Spiceworks users.”

The technology integration complements Spiceworks' existing IT management and device inventory capabilities by allowing IT professionals to take swift and immediate action against rogue wireless access points, hackers, and employee-owned devices entering the corporate network.

"NetClarity's Network Access Control for Spiceworks represents another example of how companies and technology solutions are being built in Spiceworks," said Jay Hallberg, co-founder and COO of Spiceworks. "More than 4 million IT professionals use Spiceworks each month to access the tools and resources they need to do their jobs. Technology integrations with companies like NetClarity are critical to providing IT professionals with the tools they need to address challenges in their environment."

Spiceworks users may access the new capabilities from the Spiceworks dashboard on December 13, 2013.
